SIRAJ POS
Privacy Policy
2026 · Effective date: 18 August 2026
Siraj POS
Privacy Policy — English
1. Who we are and what this policy covers
This policy covers the Android app Siraj POS, published by Al Tarabot Technical for Telecommunications and Information Technology. The app is a companion to the Siraj Accounting system operated by the user's organization; it is not a standalone cloud accounting service. Privacy contact: info@tic-ly.com.
2. Data the app accesses and why
- Siraj business data: The app may read accounting-file names, users and permissions, POS configuration, products, codes, barcodes, prices, stock balances, product images, customers, invoices, held invoices, till sessions, and print templates. It may write sale, session, and audit records when the user requests a supported operation and has the required permission and license. This happens directly against the Siraj database managed by your organization.
- Connection and sign-in data: The app uses the server address, database name, and technical database credential for the connection. Connection settings and the technical credential are encrypted in no-backup app storage with AES-GCM and an Android Keystore key. Siraj user credentials are used for authentication and authorization. The app does not retain the Siraj user's password after the session.
- Device identity and licensing: The app reads
ANDROID_IDlocally and combines it with the app package namespace to derive a SHA-256 registration code. The rawANDROID_IDis not stored or uploaded by the app. License data, including the licensee name, registration and activation codes, serial, and feature mask, is encrypted locally with Android Keystore. A user may manually share the derived registration code with the license issuer outside the app; there is no in-app cloud purchase or activation service. - Camera: Camera access is requested only when the user chooses to scan a license or administrator connection-setup QR code. Frames are analyzed on the device to extract QR text. The app does not save or upload a photo or video. The user can deny permission and enter a license manually.
- Printers and nearby devices: Printer setup may access USB device identifiers, the names and addresses of paired Bluetooth devices after permission is granted, or a local-network printer address. This is used to choose a printer and send a test page or invoice. Target settings remain in the app's private local storage.
- Local operational data: The app stores non-secret preferences such as UI sound, printer selection, and printer test proof. It also keeps bounded, encrypted recovery journals for database writes and printing so an interrupted operation is not duplicated. The local print journal does not contain invoice lines, monetary values, or print payloads.
3. Data transfers and sharing
Business data travels directly between the Android device and the Siraj server selected by your organization on its LAN or compatible private network. Print data may travel directly to the selected printer over USB, LAN TCP, or Bluetooth Classic. The app does not send user data, invoices, camera images, or license records to a publisher-operated cloud service. The publisher does not sell data or share it with data brokers.
Transport protection for the database connection depends on the customer's Siraj server, database, and network configuration; some compatible LAN environments may operate without TLS. Use a trusted, isolated network and enable TLS where your compatible environment supports it.
4. Ads, analytics, and cloud services
The source reviewed on the effective date contains no advertising SDK, analytics SDK, marketing tracker, or cloud crash-reporting service. App data is not used to build advertising profiles.
5. Security and local storage
Connection credentials, the license record, and sensitive recovery journals are encrypted with AES-GCM and Android Keystore keys. Cloud backup and device-to-device transfer of app data are disabled. Non-secret UI preferences and printer-target settings are kept in private app storage but are not all encrypted; the app therefore does not store printer passwords there.
6. Retention and deletion
- Local connection, license, printer, and preference data remains until it is replaced, app data is cleared, or the app is uninstalled.
- Camera frames are transient in memory and discarded after analysis or when the scanner closes.
- Local recovery journals are bounded and removed or replaced according to the operation lifecycle and internal retention rules.
- Accounting data stored on the Siraj server follows your organization's and Siraj system's retention rules. Contact your organization's Siraj administrator to correct or delete it; the publisher does not control the customer's database.
The app does not create a cloud account with the publisher, so there is no publisher-hosted cloud account data to delete.
7. Children
Siraj POS is a business tool for organizations and authorized Siraj system users. It is not directed to children.
8. Changes and contact
If data handling changes, this policy and its effective date will be updated before the relevant release is published. For privacy questions or requests, contact info@tic-ly.com or visit tic-ly.com.
